Happy Birthday Girls...

Some of my most favorite people in the world were born today...So let us celebrate! Happy birthday Ellen, Elaine and Lori!

After a day full of festivities we had to end the night at The Chocolate to top it off right with a 'Cazookie' (CAZOOKIE: a freshly baked cookie that is roughly the size of your head that is pulled straight from the oven and then topped with 69 gallons of ice cream)...

This dessert was so delightful, it caused noises to be made which belonged in an adult film...Just sayin'...It comes highly recommended!

Happy 90th Betty

Two of my all time favorites...Molly Shannon and Betty White...it doesn't get better than these two!

Today our dear friend Betty turns 90. Yep, you read that right, the big 9-0! She looks bloody amazing and is still feisty as ever. So here's to you Betty...wishing you the happiest and healthiest of 90th birthdays and wishing you 90 more! If anyone could live to be a 180 and do it well, you could!

Happy Birthday Ma

I know you all saw this picture not too long ago in those that I posted from Indy. But it is just so classy and is one of my most recently taken faves that I just couldn't not use it again for the birthday post...

Happy Birthday Ma!

Happy Birthday WOG Lori!

Happy Birthday to one of the most incredible people I know...

She is one of a kind. I don't know many as good and kind and compassionate as she is. The woman is full of light and love. If you are trying to be like Jesus, you won't find a better example than her to get you to that goal!

And as a side note: She likes to kick and stretch and kick...cause she's 50!

Happy Birthday Betty!

Today we had a little birthday bash for Betty White. We went to the Cheesecake Factory, because as any Golden Girl fan knows, cheesecake is the answer to anything and everything. It is the center to all celebrations and the key to all problem solving.

These pictures pretty much speak for themselves and our ridiculousness...

Tasty brownie cheesecake...

Betty enjoying her cheesecake (And yes please, this photo really is signed by her and is one of my treasured possessions. Thanks again G-Ma and G-Pa)

Tracksuits were mandatory, as that is what Betty wore most often. The wig and pearls were just an extra little touch...

Good times!

Happy Birthday...

I just had to give out a Happy Birthday shout out to my birth mother...

Yeah, you are seeing and reading it correctly. Tina Turner is my birth mother. At least that is what I used to tell everyone when I was little. Okay fine, that is still what I tell everyone. I mean really, can't you see the family resemblance?!?...

Here is a delightful little blast from my past. Me and my mom at my grandparents house...

See the resemblance? It's totally there!

Happy Birthday Kenny!

As you have seen in previous posts, I really enjoy celebrating birthdays. I think it is important. It is important to let someone know that they are loved and to tell them "I am so happy you were born." I also think that it is very important to take every chance you get to celebrate.

Tonight the celebration was in honor of my future husband (he doesn't know this quite yet) Kenny Rogers. What a dream boat, huh?! Though he has been the victim of a very tragic face lift and may or may not have been tucked and plucked a bit tighter than my last Thanksgiving Day turkey...none of that matters to me...he is still a sexy beast in my eyes!

And so here is to you, Mr. Ruben James...the Long Arm Of The Law...The Gambler himself...

We had a little birthday party for Kenny at Famous Dave's BBQ. It was delightful. Yes, there are only me and three friends in the above picture, but when we were being seated I asked for a table for five because I felt it important for Kenny (he couldn't make it to the festivities so his greatest hits record filled in for him) to have his own seat.

Our waitress was so funny, she even brought him his very own birthday dessert...
(Here he is enjoying every minute of his ice cream...)

Here is to 70 more good years!...

Happy Birthday Deb!

Happy Birthday to one of the kindest
and most loving souls I've ever met...

You radiate light and give love to
all you meet. You are such a blessing
in the lives of all around you.

I hope you have a day as amazing as you are!

And here is one of the
delectable cupcakes
that was also part
of our celebration of
your big day...

Happy Birthday Lorrie!

Happy Birthday Lorrie Lorrie Lorrie! Thank you for teaching me 'how to be like Jesus.' You inspire me with the unconditional love you give to everyone and with your eternally positive attitude. Thank you for being my friend and for showing me how to enjoy the simple things in life...

I chose this picture of her with Jo Dee Messina, because it
was very possibly one of the most humorous nights of my life.
We took her to Wendover to see the concert. She loved
every minute of it. But the over-the-top, could barely contain her
excitement was when Jo Dee sang "I Be Alright",
which is a Heartbound song!
(Now yes, I know the actual title is "I'm Alright" and Jo Dee is
the original artist on the song.
But there was NO, I repeat NO convincing
her of that fact.)
To her, it was a Heartbound song,
and she proceeded to tell me after the concert,
"Yeah, Jo Dee, her did a good job,
but I like the way that Heartbound sing it better."
Oh how I love this girl!

Happy Birthday Lori!

Today is Lori's birthday...And so today I say, I am so thankful that you were born!

She is truly one of the most incredible people I have ever had the chance to meet. I am blessed beyond words to be able to call her my friend.

I don't know of many people who have as many desirable attributes as she does. She is eternally kind and compassionate. Everyone who comes in contact with her feels loved and uplifted. She inspires you to want to do good and be good. Her goodness is endless. She is true and faithful in every sense of the words.

I want to be like her when I grow up...
