So I have returned once again from the Great White Way. I can't say enough how much I love New York City and all of it's delights and wonders.
We started out this adventure with a trip to the Bronx to Mother Teresa's House of Charity there. Ma was pretty nervous about this and was sure that we were going to get jumped or assaulted on our Subway ride. Needless to say, the ride was uneventful and we arrived and left in one piece!
While we were there, we were able to help prepare food in the Soup Kitchen, serve those who had come to eat, and even got to help some of the Sisters put together little bags full of treats for Easter that they would be delivering to kids in a pretty serious juvenile detention facility.
I can't put into words what an incredible visit this was. Since I was very young, I have been fascinated with Mother Teresa. I have always been in awe of this humble woman who blessed countless lives and changed the world with her love and compassion.

(The trip really had an 'ode to Catholocism' theme...First the convent, then opening night of Sister Act, and finishing up with Easter Mass at St.Patrick's Cathedral...)
Opening night of Sister Act was pretty fun. They had the red carpet, celebrities everywhere (the cast of the View, Sylvester Stalone, Brooke Shields, Adam Lambert, to name a few), paparazzi, the whole nine yards! It was neat to see the original Delores VanCartier, Whoopi Goldberg herself. I loved the show, very entertaining.
Who's The Boss?...Me and Judith, thats Who!
This little delight was taken on an obviously windy night, in the road just outside of the theater where Lombardi plays. It's not the best photo in the world, but it totally captured the moment.
She was so kind! I just love Angela Bauer/Judge Liz Donnelly/Judith Light. The woman is an absolute gem!
(And a special thank you shout-out to Sister Mary Nora and her 'eagle eyes' that made this moment possible!)

We had to see the classics as our friends who were with us had never been to NYC before. Here are Ma and I lookin' at Lady Liberty...
Here are my shoes...
Here is my new boyfriend that I found in Central Park. Look at those abs! He and his friends put on an entertaining dance show for us. I so wanted to take him home as my souvenir...
I can't wait to get back to the bright lights and big city. Lookin' like it'll be in six months...you're all invited, who is coming?!?...
